ICMART World Congress in Jeju, Korea Draws Attention to SMC Acupuncture

Jeju, South Korea – The International Council of Medical Acupuncture and Related Techniques (ICMART) held its World Congress

in East Asia for the first time, hosted in Jeju, South Korea from September 27 to 29, 2024. Previously focused in Europe,

this year’s congress marked a significant milestone by expanding into East Asia, with the theme “Future of Integrative Healthcare: Convergence of Acupuncture, Medical Science, and Technology.”

The event brought together around 700 participants from 30 countries worldwide, where experts engaged in discussions

on the integration of cutting-edge medical technologies with traditional acupuncture. Among the highlights was the notable interest in Korea's SMC acupuncture,

which captivated attendees from diverse backgrounds. Many international doctors showed keen interest in the effectiveness and innovative approach of SMC acupuncture,

with some even participating in hands-on demonstrations. One participant remarked, “SMC acupuncture showcases a remarkable potential that extends beyond the limits of traditional acupuncture,”

expressing high praise for this Korean advancement.

This congress represents a significant step forward for integrative healthcare development in East Asia.

A representative from the event stated, “This congress served as a pivotal moment for the global recognition of Korean acupuncture

and integrative medicine. We plan to support the continued growth of SMC acupuncture and Korea's role in integrative medicine on the international stage.”

The event not only fostered discussions on how acupuncture and modern medical sciences

can collaborate for more effective healthcare systems but also carried special significance as the first ICMART congress held in East Asia.

 

​Chilean buyer is deeply impressed by visiting our korean acupuncture plant

​Korean acupuncture needle manufacturing technology is once again in the spotlight of international stage.
Last week, Shang LEE, CEO of a Chilean medical device importer AKULIFE, visited our company's needle manufacturing plant in Daepo Industrial Complex, Gimpo, to tour the production facilities in person and stated a positive intention to sign the contract.

CEO Shang LEE closely observed the manufacturing process of acupuncture needle with factory staff and was deeply impressed by the manufacturing method that combines Korean tradition and advanced technology.
"I'm very impressed with the quality and technology of Korean acupuncture needle.",
"The demand for Korean acupuncture needle in the Chilean medical market is expected to increase." he said.

The visit is expected to be the first step for the spread of Korean medicine devices in the Chilean market. We have already discussed major contract details through arrangements, and we are planning to sign a complete contract on the occasion of this visit.

​When the contract is signed, SMC Korean acupuncture will be supplied to major medical institutions and acupuncturists in Chile.
Through this, the superiority of Korean traditional medicine is expected to be recognized in South America, and furthermore, entry into the global market is anticipated to become more active.

We participated in Hospitalar 2024, held from May 21 to 24 in São Paulo, Brazil. With over 30 years of history,

Hospitalar is Latin America’s largest healthcare business expo, serving as an essential event where healthcare professionals from around the world gather.

This year’s four-day expo provided unique opportunities for business, networking, and knowledge exchange, gaining considerable attention from the industry.

This year’s expo featured over 1,200 brands from the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors across 27 countries,

including Australia, China, France, South Korea, Japan, and the United States. Buyers from more than 80 countries attended,

showing keen interest in a wide range of healthcare technologies and products. Notably,

many international buyers expressed significant interest in our company’s SMC acupuncture, praising its effectiveness and innovation.

Our participation in Hospitalar 2024 offered us a valuable opportunity to showcase the excellence of SMC acupuncture internationally

and to explore meaningful partnerships with global partners.

​Construction of SMC office building and production facilities begins,

​and the era of Own factory will open.

​On April 9th, We started construction after hav-ing groundbreaking ceremony at the Daepo Industrial Complex in Gimpo.

​The site is 2,847㎡ and the building area is 1,810㎡. A factory, office, and dormitory will be built in a four-story building above the ground,

which is expected to be completed in November.

Due to Corona-19, This ceremony was done quietly without invitation of outsiders, only with related people, with keeping social distancing.

It's process was "Opening declaration, Construction outline report, CEO's greeting, Cutting ceremony,

Break ground(First shovel) and praying for safty".
